Great service. Many years experience and you feel that as you go through the front door. Used this place for many years. Never had any problems and I know many of my friends use it also. I recommend it as a place to go .
Would like to thank Mr Bentley for helping me out in such quick time. Needed a birthday present went to see him, told him what I required (silver ID bracelet). So professional and polite within a few days he had exactly what I needed at a very good price. Went extra mile to tell me that he could get it engraved at any time just bring it in, which I will do soon. This will not be the last time I go here and have recommended him to my friends.
Let's start with the positive: He seems to know what he is doing and has a true knowledge of his work.The reason for me it is 1 star is for bad customer service.First he opens and closes his shop when he likes as we came to the shop before 3pm to collect my items and it was already closed. I arrived the next day at 9am as it states the opening times on Google and on the door he had a different time table that said 9h30am and obviously it was closed again. When I politely enquired about the opening times he even said that the front door opening times are wrong aswell as he closes even earlier than stated on front door. I asked if he could change that to help customers like me who came from far away and he said he does not know how to switch on a computer let alone change the time of his own shop on Google. Second and worse was I was lead to believe I was paying one price for each of the items I gave to repair and when I went to collect he charged me more and he said he was doing me a favour by taking off some of the price and charge me 16.00 more than what he previously stated. When I challenged him on that as I was fuming at that point he told me there was a little extra piece that was broken. He should have contacted me before going ahead and fixing without consulting me about the price, as I went thinking I was going to pay 24.00 and not 40.00. If I had known that I would not had it repaired there. I felt lied and cheated about the whole thing. Opening times and prices are two main things you have to be clear, honest and upfront about.
