Stayed in a Club Room here. Overall the hotel is a little dated compared to other Village hotels and could do with a bit of tlc. Having stayed at Leeds North hotel this hotel is nowhere near the standard of that one. Could do with a little extra lighting in the room as lighting is really not sufficient. Im guessing this is the reason that some parts of the room werent as clean as they could be (dust above the hanging space, hand prints on the wall above the toilet) Cant complain too much as got the room for a reasonable price.
The room wasn't the cleanest it was dusty and the cups and spoons had been used. The bathroom also could have been bleached. The food wasn't that great either. The spa is really nice with Jacuzzi sauna steam room and pool. The sky movies in the room was good and comfy bed.
Me and my husband stay every Christmas. Booked on a party night. Staff were friendly, attentive and well organised by team leaders. Food was good and arrived hot. Spa facilities are great, and if you've forgotten your hair straighteners, they have some in the changing rooms!
Unfortunately there was a live music event taking place in the hotel which was echoing through my room. I couldn't sleep and approached staff about it. I was assured it would be ending soon.An hour (and three visits to reception) later they moved me to a room on the other side of the hotel where I couldn't hear the noise at all.Staff were polite and helpful and, other than the noise on that night, I was happy with my stay.
We had a fabulous time here and will definitely be returning. Room clean and bed very comfy. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. I'd like to stay longer next time.
