What a little gem of a restaurant. Very reasonably priced. A nice log fire and friendly staff. On the night we were there, 2 new front of house staff were being trained and they both did exceptionally well. The food was fresh and really tasty. A mushroom starter followed by a chicken main made for a perfect evening. We washed it down with a bottle of fizz at a reasonable 19. Our visit here was the jewel in a very wet and windy few days away

Food good service good price good. Pizza was ok but not the best I've had. I would recommend for a family party or get together.
If it was just food food they would have got 5 stars. The service was what let the side down. We were told there would be an hour to wait and that's fine but it wasn't fine when waiter with the check shirt put another couple before us, they had come in 10 minutes after us. The same waiter was generally not all polite to us and the other staff. I hope it was just for this evening as I am sure it's very stressful working in a restaurant but manners and politeness takes very little time.
Great little restaurant for a get together. Takes big groups, nice and lively. Food great, cocktails great !
