I own a construction company and I use and recommend Howdens joiner to all my customers, we also use Howdens as our main suppliers. We use a designer called Lee (Howdens Blackpool) he has planned and supplied me with over 50 kitchens, not only has his service to my business been professional and money saving it has also created an exceptional reputation for myself and my company.I would also like to thank Ryan and Linder (managers) for your time and dedication in helping me with my accounts. Last week we had a designer called Lee come to our address to measure up our kitchen. We had chosen the Ballam range which we were advised by Lee was the most expensive kitchen. We attended the store today to see the design on the screen and discuss the planning. Upon arriving at the store Lee appeared to be very different from the salesman that attended our address. His tone was harsh and he was very abrupt. We didnt realise the Ballam Range was an all draw kitchen with no cupboards. If we had been told this from the start we would not have chose that kitchen. It looks like dummy draws if Im honest. We were even told by Lee that we shouldnt have a wine cooler as it doesnt look right, however when we asked to see a wine cooler in the design it looked great. The price of the kitchen quoted was over 12 thousand pound ! When we initially met Lee he stated that Howdens itemise the entire kitchen. When asked how much the granite cost we were told that if we didnt want the Ballam kitchen then the price of the granite would differ. How can this differ when its the same square footage of granite from the same supplier. When this was pointed out to Lee he started getting very aggressive in his tone .He was being extremely vague and then removed the list of prices off the screen so I couldnt see what they were. He started slamming the mouse of his computer down on the desk. I immediately knew he had something to hide. I actually asked why were we being spoken to like this to which he threw his mobile phone on the table. I truly believe Lee was piling on the pounds with this bill and thought he could get away with it. I then stated I can see Im not going to get any answers here he literally slouched in his chair and barked Nope ! I asked to speak to his supervisor which I did who has arranged a different designer to look at our kitchen. I must admit Howdens would have to pull off something pretty spectacular to get me to pay for one of their kitchens. Lee is an absolute disgrace and needs to realise you cant talk to customers like that. Rude, abrupt and aggressive. Very very poor ! And after all a kitchen should be what the customers wants not what Lee wants!
